A book is something that just about everyone knows they really should have if they are going to be successful in branding themselves as a Coach and/or Speaker.
But knowing that you need one and getting one started can be two different things!
Which is why I brought in my friend James Palmer to talk shop about what he recommends people do who are looking to go down that road.
As someone who's done his fair share of speaking (both free and paid), this is my personal "secret sauce" if you will that can absolutely assist in getting more paid speaking gigs.
If you're already speaking right now, then this is a pretty easy way to start getting referrals for paid gigs.
Sooooo, thinking about writing a book but not sure if it's something you want to do?
Or maybe you're not conviced that writting a book is a good idea to enhancing your profile and becoming a Trusted Advisor?
Regardless, we had a chance to talk to Everett O'Keefe who brought up some really good points about getting published, and how that can positively impact your coaching/speaking business.
This is something you'll want to check out!
I don't know about you guys, but LinkedIn can sometimes feel like the most under utilized element in your social media repertiore.
You've got all of these people online.
You've got a fair amount of "followers".
But gosh darn it, how can you translate that into paying clients?
Chris Colt comes with answers. :)
Well it's here...the NEW YEAR!
And here's a question I'm asking EVERYONE (including myself) as we head into the next 12 months.
So maybe you're speaker who has been asked on occasion to deliver a (free) presentation to a group of folks.
"No problem.
It's a good way to get some exposure and if it turns into some paying clients, then I actually don't have to worry about getting paid," is maybe what you're thinking.
So how can you increase your chances of this happening WITHOUT being pushy or salesy?
Great question and one we tackle in this latest episode.
Now THAT sounds like a title I can get my arms around as we close out the year. :)
Well it's that time of year again...what's worked, what's not and more importantly...what are YOU going to do to get different / better results?
Here are 2 (more) things that I'm either personally doing (and would recommend you consider), or am going to do going forward myself.
I think you'll like them.
